This idea resulted from a question from Jackie:
She was searching for large pieces of plastic canvas but could not find sheets large enough for the project she wanted to stitch.

I suggested using two sheets - connecting this with whipstitches - then stitching over them. (Not ideal but it was an option.) This unfortunately leaves a "lump" in the middle where the plastic is joined.

Another option came to mind - to use a strip of plastic behind the two connecting canvases and leave one column between the two - so the "lump" shouldn't be a problem.

Connect two pieces of PC

The image to the left shows this option to use a strip of plastic canvas (red canvas) behind the two connecting sheets (black canvases) - leaving one column in between them.

Note: the image above shows the edges overlapping on the top pieces (red) and bottom (black pieces) - this is to help identify the different pieces. For your project, cut the pieces all evenly so there is no overlap above and below.

Using this method will require some careful counting of holes - as the extra column (holes) must be included in your counting of holes & stitches.

To hold the pieces in place, it is suggested that you whipstitch the top and bottom edges - and if the project is fairly tall (high), you may want to whipstitch sections in the middle - which you will remove as other areas are stitched over to hold pieces together.
